Jessica Alba is in negotiations to join Robert Rodriguez’s “Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World” for Dimension Films reports Heat Vision.
The original three films starred Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara as the kids of superspy parents (Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino). This new feature will focus on a new family with Alba playing a retired spy turned housewife who has been reactivated.
She has a baby and two preteen stepchildren, with the preteens to become the next generation of ‘Spy Kids’. Alba’s slightly nerdy investigative reporter husband character, and the film’s villain named The Timekeeper, have yet to be cast.
Banderas, Vega and Sabara are expected to have small supporting roles. The sub-$30 million 3D project kicks off filming in Austin, Texas next month with Rodriguez returning as writer and director.
