With the fifth “Pirates of the Caribbean” now given a bit of breathing room, producer Jerry Bruckheimer is turning his attention towards other action franchises he’s involved in.
One is “Beverly Hills Cop IV”. Bruckheimer, who produced the first two films but opted out of both the third and the recent failed TV series version, is in talks with Paramount Pictures to produce the fourth film.
Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec (“Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol”) are penning the script with Eddie Murphy attached to reprise his role of Axel Foley.
Bruckheimer is also helping to develop the script for “Bad Boys 3” while still pursuing a “Top Gun” sequel if talent can be locked down.
