A favorite seems to have emerged from the shortlist of seven actors to have tested for the lead role in Universal Pictures’ Jason Bourne spin-off “The Bourne Legacy”.
That contender? “The Hurt Locker” star Jeremy Renner reports Latino Review.
The site says director Tony Gilroy wanted actor Oscar Isaac for the main character, but the studio apparently rejected his choice. Now it sounds like they’ve settled on Renner with an offer about to be sent out.
If he gets it, Renner would’ve beaten out the likes of Luke Evans, Joel Edgerton, Dominic Cooper, Garrett Hedlund, Shia LaBeouf and Taylor Kitsch for the part.
