Jennifer Garner has made a deal with Warner Bros. Pictures to star in a remake of the 1945 screwball romantic comedy “Christmas in Connecticut.”
The original followed a Martha Stewart-esque cooking writer that the world believes is living on a cozy farm in Connecticut with her husband and baby.
In reality, she’s a single woman living on her own in New York. The fraud is discovered when a holiday meal is planned at her fake farm.
Variety reports that no writer is yet assigned to the project so it’s a while off for now. Arnold Schwarzenegger directed a TV movie remake of the property back in 1992.
Garner begins work on Jason Reitman’s coming-of-age comedy “Juno” later this month.
