Jeff Goldblum is set to return to the “Jurassic Park” franchise, the actor joining the cast of the currently in production “Jurassic World” sequel.
Goldblum co-starred in the 1993 original and was the lead in the 1997 sequel “The Lost World: Jurassic Park,” but his character Ian Malcolm has sat out the last two entries.
Goldblum joins a cast that includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Toby Jones, James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Geraldine Chaplin, Rafe Spall, B.D. Wong and Justice Smith.
The casting comes as newcomer Kevin Lane spoke to MSFT Management about his role in the film as a ‘submarine pilot’ saying his role is part of an ‘epic scene’ which suggests a major underwater sequence.
J. A. Bayona is directing the new film which opens next Summer.
