Filmmaker Jay Roach has signed on to executive produce and direct the planned TV series adaptation of Michael Wolff’s best-selling book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House”. A network has yet to be attached.
Roach was previously was attached to helm HBO’s since-scrapped 2016 presidential election miniseries. Now that project’s collapse has opened the door for a Trump tell-all series based on the book which sold millions of copies and was based on Wolff’s exclusive access to the White House.
Wolff will executive produce the series with veteran Channel 4 and BBC executive Michael Jackson. Roach, who helmed the “Austin Powers” and “Meet the Parents” films, won an Emmy for his work directing HBO’s dramatization of the 2008 presidential election “Game Change”.
