Jason Momoa is in negotiations to star in Ana Lily Amirpour’s dystopian love story “The Bad Batch” for Annapurna Pictures and Vice.
The post-apocalyptic tale is set in a Texas wasteland where a community of cannibals reside, and is described as a love story about a cannibal (Momoa) and his food.
The tone is said to be a cross between “The Road Warrior” and “Pretty in Pink”. Megan Ellison, Danny Gabai and Sina Sayyah will produce.
Amirpour is best known for her Sundance 2014 festival film, the Iranian vampire tale “A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night,” which went on to great acclaim.
