Jason Clarke Goes To “Great Gatsby”

Aussie actor and “The Chicago Code” star Jason Clarke has scored the role of George Wilson in Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming “The Great Gatsby” adaptation says The Hollywood Reporter.

Based on the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, Leonardo DiCaprio is set to play the wealthy and mysterious Jay Gatsby who still pines for his former flame Daisy Buchanan (Carey Mulligan).

Clarke’s character of Wilson is the husband of Myrtle (Isla Fisher). Myrtle is having an affair with Daisy’s husband Tom Buchanan (Joel Edgerton).

Tobey Maguire plays the narrator Nick Carraway. Baz Luhrmann is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Craig Pearce and shooting kicks off sometime this Fall in Australia.
