Jason Bateman Eyed For Clue Remake

Jason Bateman is in early talks to both star in and direct “Clue,” the new live-action adaptation of the Hasbro board game for 20th Century Fox and Walt Disney Pictures.

Bateman, coming off an Emmy win for best directing in a drama series for “Ozark,” will develop the “Clue” script with Reynolds who is producing through his Maximum Effort and Allspark Pictures.

“Deadpool” scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are working on the script for the new take which follows the iconic 1985 previous film adaptation starring the likes of Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, Lesley Ann Warren and Eileen Brennan.

Bateman began production today on the new season of “Ozark” in which he will direct two episodes of the show, and separately is directing the first two episodes of “The Outsider” for HBO.
