Thomas Jane (“Hung”) and Molly Parker (“Deadwood”) are set to star in Netflix’s film adaptation of the Stephen King novella “1922”.
“These Final Hours” helmer Zak Hilditch will direct from the screenplay he wrote. The story is told from the unreliable perspective of Wilfred James (Jane), a man who admits to killing his wife Arlette (Parker) with his son in Nebraska.
After he buries her body, he finds himself terrorized by rats and, as his life begins to unravel, becomes convinced his wife is haunting him. Dylan Schmid, Kaitlyn Bernard, Brian D’Arcy James and Neal McDonough also star.
Ross M. Dinerstein is producing the project which is currently shooting in Vancouver. This is Netflix’s second film adaptation of a King work, the other being Mike Flanagan’s “Gerald’s Game” which is currently in production. It’s also Jane’s third appearance in a King adaptation following “Dreamcatcher” and “The Mist”.
