Jane Fonda Goes French For “Ensemble”

Jane Fonda is set to star in the French comedy “Et si on vivait tous ensemble” (“And If We All Lived Together”) for Canal Plus says Variety.

The story follows five old friends who decide to move in together to avoid going to a retirement home. Fonda plays an American woman who’s lived in France for a long time and bonds with a young German ethnology student preparing a thesis about the aging population.

Stephane Robelin directs the project which marks Fonda’s first French film since Jean-Luc Godard’s “Tout va bien” in 1972. Fonda will shoot Bruce Beresford’s “Peace, Love, and Misunderstanding” after this.
