Jamie King Leads Abuse Tale “Cook Your Daughter”

Jaime King (“Hart of Dixie,” “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”) is set to topline the film adaptation of Jessica Hendra and Blake Morrison’s memoir “How to Cook Your Daughter”.

The story follows Hendra’s experience growing up as the daughter of a National Lampoon editor – as a generation of Americans indulged in the smart humor of the magazine label, she withered away beneath the weight of her father’s verbal and sexual abuse.

Then as an adult, she found the courage to demand that her rights, and the rights of all abuse survivors, be taken seriously. Jennifer Clary is attached to direct and filming begins in November.
