Jamie Foxx has joined the cast of the Todd Phillips-directed ensemble comedy “Due Date” for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.
Robert Downey Jr. plays an expectant father who finds himself on a road trip with a mismatched partner (Zach Galifianakis), as he races to get there before his wife (Michelle Monaghan) gives birth to his first child.
Foxx will play Downey’s longtime pal, who once dated his wife and secretly keeps in touch with her.
“Date” begins shooting this Fall in Atlanta, New Mexico and Los Angeles. Phillips (“The Hangover,” “Road Trip”) and Daniel Goldberg are producing.
