Jamie Chung Is Blink In “X-Men” TV Series

Jamie Chung (“Gotham,” “Once Upon a Time”) has been cast as the mutant Blink in Fox’s “X-Men” pilot from Matt Nix (“Burn Notice”) and “X-Men” film series producer/director Bryan Singer.

Blink has the power of teleportation and the popular character has appeared on screen before with Fan Bingbing taking on the role in “X-Men: Days of Future Past”. Her character here is described as a sarcastic tomboy dealing with a traumatic upheaval in her life.

The story focuses on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

Chung marks the second series regular to sign onto the pilot, joining Blair Redford as Sam, the strong-headed leader of the underground network.

Nix penned the pilot and will serve as executive producer alongside Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb, Jim Chory and Singer with the latter to direct.
