James Wan is attached to produce “The Boy Who Drew Monsters,” a film adaptation of Keith Donohue’s 2014 horror novel which New Line has just acquired.
The story follows a ten-year old boy who suffers from Asperger’s syndrome and agoraphobia. He also develops the ability to bring to life whatever he draws, including monsters. His best friend, his parents and a priest’s housekeeper all try to help.
Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing (“The Autopsy of Jane Doe”) are set to pen the adaptation. Michael Clear will also produce.
