James Gandolfini Is “Eating with the Enemy”

HBO Films has optioned the rights to Robert Egan and Kurt Pitzer’s book “Eating With the Enemy” with James Gandolfini attached to star says The Hollywood Reporter.

The former “The Sopranos” actor would play a Hackensack restaurant owner who forged a relationship with the North Korean Mission in Upper Manhattan and went on to play an important role as a liaison in U.S. and North Korean relations.

Gandolfini will also executive produce alongside Mark Armstrong, Nancy Sanders, Jane Rosenthal, Brandon Brito and Megan Lyvers.
