James Bond Checks Out South Africa

Director Sam Mendes and producer Barbara Broccoli are said to be currently in South Africa scouting locations for the next James Bond film reports MI6-HQ.com.

The news comes from international cricketer Darren Gough who sat next to the pair on a flight to Johannesburg this week. South Africa has been a long-rumoured location for a future 007 adventure and at one time “Casino Royale” was supposed to film there.

1971’s “Diamonds Are Forever” had scenes set in the country but they were brief, only involved supporting characters and were actually shot in the desert near Las Vegas.
