Jackman Out Of “Cleo” Musical

Hugh Jackman is no longer in discussions to star alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones in the 3-D live action musical “Cleo” says Variety.

Steven Soderbergh directs the $30 million project which is completing its financing and Jackman’s departure has been cited as being due to scheduling conflicts by insiders.

None of the cast had officially signed as yet, though Catherine Zeta-Jones has been asked to play Cleopatra and discussions are underway with Ray Winstone for the role of Julius Caesar.

Jackman was to play Roman general Marc Antony, no word yet on who might be a potential replacement.
