British comedian and actor Jack Whitehall (“Bad Education”) will join Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt in Disney’s live-action adaptation of the theme park attraction “The Jungle Cruise”.
Whitehall will play Blunt’s brother in the film which aims to be a “Pirates of the Caribbean”-esque style potential franchise launcher. Specifics of the plot are under wraps and filming begins in May.
J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay (“Star Trek Beyond”) and Michael Green (“Logan”) penned the film which is helmed by Jaume Collet-Serra (“The Commuter,” “The Shallows”). Johnson, John Davis, John Fox, Beau Flynn, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia produce.
