Jack Ryan Switches Showrunners For S3

Carlton Cuse, the main creative force behind Amazon’s TV action drama series adaptation of “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” is stepping back from day-to-day showrunner duties after two seasons.

The news comes as Amazon gave the series, led by John Krasinski in the role, an early third season renewal last month even though the second season doesn’t air until later this year. A new showrunner is currently being sought for the show with the first season rumored to have ranked as Amazon’s most-watched original series.

Cuse will remain involved as an executive producer, but his attention is now being directed towards other projects including the launch of Netflix’s “Locke and Key” series, two high-profile projects at Disney+, and the sci-fi western “Atlas” which is also at Amazon.
