Jack Huston Joins Scorsese’s “Irishman”

“Boardwalk Empire” and “Ben-Hur” star Jack Huston has been set to join the cast of Martin Scorsese’s upcoming $100 million mob epic “The Irishman” for Netflix.

Robert DeNiro plays Frank ‘The Irishman’ Sheeran, a mob hitman whose illustrious career is today best known for a supposed involvement in the death of Jimmy Hoffa.

Huston’s role is being kept under wraps. Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Bobby Cannavale and Ray Romano co-star in the film with Steve Zaillian adapting the screenplay from Charles Brandt’s book “I Heard You Paint Houses”.

Scorsese, Gaston Pavlovich, Jane Rosenthal and Emma Tillinger Koskoff are all expected to produce with a small theatrical release planned late next year for potential awards qualification.
