“Whiplash” actor J.K. Simmons and former pro football player Terry Bradshaw are set to join Ed Helms and Owen Wilson in the comedy “Bastards” for Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures.
Simmons and Bradshaw join the cast as potential father figures to Wilson and Helms’ characters – brothers whose eccentric mother raised them to believe their real father died when they were young. When they learn that was a lie, they set out to find him.
Cinematographer Larry Sher (“The Hangover”) makes his directorial debut on the film which will begin shooting in September in Atlanta and Miami. Justin Malen (“Bad Teacher 2”) wrote the screenplay.
