Oscar winner J.K. Simmons (“Whiplash,” “Spider-Man”) has officially scored a recurring role in Hulu’s forthcoming revival of “Veronica Mars”.
Simmons is set to play the role of Clyde Prickett, an ex-convict who served ten years for racketeering and has since become Big Dick Casablanca’s fixer. He’s smart, dangerous and with a network of fellow ex-cons he can count on to keep his own hands clean.
In the new season, spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, and discovers a town deeply divided over said trade.
The new ‘Mars’ consists of eight episodes with the shorter season to work around Bell’s schedule on her hit NBC comedy “The Good Place”.
