J.B. Smoove (“Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Date Night”), Max Records (“Where the Wild Things Are,” “The Brothers Bloom”) and child actor Kevin Hernandez (“The Unit,” “How I Spent My Summer Vacation”) are teaming for the R-rated comedy “The Sitter” at 20th Century Fox reports The Wrap.
Not a remake but certainly sounding a lot like cult 80’s classic “Adventures in Babysitting”, Jonah Hill stars as a college dropout who agrees to help babysit the three mischievous kids (Landry Bender, Records and Hernandez) of his mother’s friend.
He reluctantly scores some drugs for a girl, taking the children along for the ride. When the deal goes bad, the night turns into a wild chase through Manhattan. Smoove will play one of two drug dealers.
David Gordon Green (“Pineapple Express”) directs from a script by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka. Michael De Luca is producing and filming is currently underway in New York.
