Izzard, Hoskins, Jones, Marsan Join “Hunstman”

Universal’s “Snow White and the Huntsman” is stocking up on warrior dwarves this week and is doing so by assembling some of the best British middle-aged character actors around to play them.

Likely to join Ian McShane who was cast yesterday are such great talents as Eddie Izzard, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan and Steven Graham who are all in negotiations to board the movie says Heat Vision.

The Rupert Sanders-directed revisionist take on the fairy tale and features Snow White (Kristen Stewart) as a princess who escapes her evil stepmother (Charlize Theron) with the help of a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) who was to have killed her but now trains the princess to survive and fight back.

Unlike the Disney film with the dwarves named after emotions, all the dwarves here have names based on emperors and ancient leaders – McShane is Caesar, Jones is the timid dwarf Claudius, Izzard is the burly Tiberius, and Hoskins is the blind Constantine.
