“IT” Plans To Terrify IMAX Screens

Andres Muschietti’s film adaptation of Stephen King’s “IT” is set to go bigger – it’s going to IMAX.

The film’s producer Barbara Muschietti has revealed today in an Instagram post that the film is making an unexpected jump to the super screen format.

The story follows a group of kids who set out to stop a shapeshifting & child eating monster who terrorises a Maine town in the default form of a sinister clown named Pennywise.

A group of young kids face their biggest fears when they seek answers to the disappearance of children in their hometown of Derry, Maine. They square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

Bill Skarsgard, Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Nicholas Hamilton and Owen Teague star. The film opens on September 8th.
