Isaac, McAvoy, Gyllenhaal Up For “Bloodshot”

Oscar Isaac, James McAvoy, Jake Gyllenhaal, Nicholas Hoult and Mark Wahlberg are all reportedly under consideration to star in the film adaptation of the comic “Bloodshot” at Sony Pictures and Valiant Entertainment says The Wrap.

The story follows a former soldier killed and brought back to life with technological upgrades, filling his body with billions of nanobots. This allows him to be the perfect soldier as he can instantaneously heal, shapeshift, and interact with technology.

First time filmmaker Dave Wilson has been tapped to direct the project, taking over from the previously attached “John Wick” directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski, while Eric Heisserer (“Arrival”) has penned the script.

Sony and Valiant are planning whole cinematic universe based on the fan-favorite comic book line of characters with a “Harbinger” film and then a crossover of the two in a “Harbinger War” feature.
