With the imminent release of “Captain America: Civil War,” a couple of interesting quotes and a new TV spot have teased some more about the future of several Marvel heroes.
First up, Robert Downey Jr. appeared on Nightline and suggests he may not be ready to give up the Tony Stark role just yet. Asked if he might do a fourth “Iron Man” standalone film he says: “[I feel] like I could do one more.”
Next up, actor Benedict Cumberbatch spoke with Empire Online this week and says his turn as “Doctor Strange” will be quite different from every other film in the MCU:
“It’s a very different feel, different hero and different set of circumstances to what we’ve seen before. It’s another moment during Marvel’s evolution. We felt free to go as far as we could imagine, so we’re doing a lot of things that I think have not been done before. Once we’d crossed a certain line we just kept going.”
Finally there’s two TV spots out – one for “Captain America: Civil War” which shows a bit more Spider-Man dialogue, and one for “X-Men: Apocalypse” showing new gear for Cyclops.
