Filming was completed on Saturday on the “Iron Man” sequel after seventy-one days of shooting reports Marvel.com. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige gave an official statement about the news yesterday:
“Shooting Iron Man 2 was a fantastic experience and we couldn’t be happier. Although there were many challenges in making this film, having Jon Favreau, Robert Downey, Gwyneth Paltrow and almost the entire crew from the first film back on board, allowed us to hit the ground running as everyone was instantly familiar with each other from day one” said Feige.
He added that due to the first film’s experience, they “learned what works and doesn’t work in terms of shooting practical versus CGI especially with the Iron Man suit.”
Filming on the project finished slightly ahead of schedule, with the first footage expected to premiere this Saturday at an “Iron Man 2” panel at the San Diego Comic-Con.
