It has been a big day in the tech news world.
After selling 15 million of the first model last year, Apple has just announced the iPad 2 which is scheduled for release March 11th.
Along with being thinner, lighter and utilising more powerful processing and graphics chips, the pad has added cameras on the front and back with the larger back one able to shoot in high-definition. There’s also an “advanced backside illumination sensor” to allow footage to be shot in low light.
Meanwhile at the 2011 Game Developers Conference, Nintendo revealed their upcoming handheld console the Nintendo 3DS will have Netflix: Watch Instantly capability.
The console, which goes on sale in the U.S. on March 27th, will receive a software update this summer that allows for Netflix subscribers to stream movies to the device. There will also be short-form video services allowing users to view movie trailers in 3D.
