DC Entertainment has announced that a tie-in prequel comic for the upcoming “Injustice 2” game has been confirmed and will hit stands in April.
The tie-in comic for the first game proved essentially more popular than the game itself, and ran a whopping 72 issues. As it’s separate from canon, doing so allowed the writers to pursue story ideas they would never be able to do in any other comic.
Now writer Tom Taylor and artist Bruno Redondo are confirmed to be returning for the series which will bridge the gaps between the games ahead of the second game’s debut in May.
The series is set to debut digitally on April 11 with new chapters releasing weekly. The series will be printed as a twice-monthly print comic by DC starting in May.
