Since his name appeared on the poster, many have been wondering what role is it that “Game of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage plays in Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War”.
Dinklage hasn’t been seen in any of the trailers and recently the speculation has been that he would play Corvus Glaive, one of the four ‘Black Order’ members who serve as the personal guard of villain Thanos (Josh Brolin).
The actors playing three of the four members were revealed not long ago – Carrie Coon as Proxima Midnight, Terry Notary as Cull Obsidian, and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor as Ebony Maw. Glaive’s identity, however, remained a mystery – until now.
Speaking with Cinema Blend this weekend, Joe and Anthony Russo revealed that Michael James Shaw is the one who plays Glaive in the film. Shaw is best known for his role as Papa Midnite opposite Matt Ryan’s John Constantine in the short-lived DC Comics “Hellblazer” TV series adaptation “Constantine” on NBC.
Anthony Russo added that every mo-cap character had been created using the same process that brought Thanos to life. “Avengers: Infinity War” opens this week around the world.
