Inferno Entertainment has picked up the film adaptation of Alex McAulay’s 2005 novel “Bad Girls” after it was put into turnaround by MTV Films says The Hollywood Reporter.
“Girls” centers on a wild teenager shipped off to a reform school on a remote Caribbean island. Upon her arrival, she and the other girls find themselves facing a series of violent threats from drug dealers and killers as they battle their own worst impulses.
McAulay has been attached to adapt the script. Holly Brix had previously been attached to adapt the script when the project was being developed under the title “Lost Girls” at MTV.
