“Incredibles 2” Headed For $140M Debut

Disney and Pixar’s “The Incredibles 2” is reportedly tracking for a whopping $140 million opening weekend, at the least, at the U.S. domestic box-office from June 15th. The film also has a serious shot at scoring the top domestic opening of all time for an animated film, exceeding “Finding Dory” which launched to $135 million.

Like ‘Dory,’ “Incredibles 2” is a sequel to one of Pixar’s most beloved original films and one which didn’t get a sequel until well over a decade later. Brad Bird returns as writer/director and lends his voice to the cast alongside Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Samuel L. Jackson and John Ratzenberger.

The story follows the Parr family as they try to balance having a normal life with their superhero powers. New additions to the voice cast this time around include Bob Odenkirk, Catherine Keener, Sophia Bush and Isabella Rossellini.
