A new IMAX quarterly SEC filing has suggested that the upcoming fourth “Avengers” film is likely to follow in the footsteps of this year’s “Avengers: Infinity War” and be moved up by a week or two into April.
Marvel has had a fourth “Avengers” sitting on a May 3rd 2019 release date for four years now, but the filing posted on CBR.com has inadvertently revealed that the new ‘Avengers’ is coming April 2019.
‘Infinity War’ was originally slated for May 4th this year but got moved up to April 27th for a worldwide simultaneous release so as to minimise spoilers. The same would appear to be happening again.
The earlier move didn’t impact the ‘Infinity War’ box-office with the movie currently sitting on a haul of over $2 billion worldwide.
