Warner Bros. Pictures, Imagine Entertainment and FX house Animal Logic (“The LEGO Movie,” “Peter Rabbit,” “Happy Feet”) have formed a five-year partnership to co-produce and co-finance a slate of animated and hybrid family films.
The companies will share a development fund. Financing, production responsibilities and company credit will be determined on a picture-by-picture basis with all the films produced to be distributed globally by Warner Bros. Pictures.
The results will inject more animated/family fare into the Warners slate with Brian Grazer and Ron Howard onboard as producers. The news comes on the eve of the launch of Howard’s “Solo: A Star Wars Story” in cinemas Friday.
