IFC Midnight have picked up North American distribution rights to the remake of Eli Roth’s 2002 horror thriller “Cabin Fever” with a 2016 release planned.
The original followed a group of college students who rent a cabin in the woods to do some partying. They begin to fall victim to a flesh-eating virus.
Travis Z is helming the new version which will use the original script by Eli Roth and Randy Pearlstein but will reshoot it with a whole new approach. Gage Golightly, Dustin Ingram, Samuel Davis, Matthew Daddario and Nadine Crocker star.
Evan Astrowsky, Christopher Lemole and Tim Zajaros will produce.
