One of the more fun stories that emerged in the wake of the Sony e-mail hack was a quote from Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal that Idris Elba should be the next James Bond.
Even though Daniel Craig has at least one more film to do after the upcoming “Spectre” according to his deal, it’s a fun bit of speculation on the Sony chairman’s part and a great choice which many fans would be chuffed by. The story picked up steam again this week when U.S. conservative radio shock jock Rush Limbaugh reportedly dismissed the idea of a James Bond that wasn’t “white and Scottish”.
Now, the “Luther” and “Pacific Rim” actor has now commented on the talk via a posting on his Twitter account.
Isn’t 007 supposed to handsome? Glad you think I’ve got a shot! Happy New year people. pic.twitter.com/3g9lAl2Uo3
