Huppert Joins Amazon’s “Romanoffs” Series

Isabelle Huppert has scored a starring role in “Mad Men” creator Matthew Weiner’s “The Romanoffs,” a new television anthology drama series for Amazon.

The story is a contemporary look at the people who believe they are the descendants of the titular Russian family dynasty.

The series will consist of eight standalone episodes that will not repeat plot elements or actors, meaning actors are essentially only committed for one episode each – allowing the show to nab some high profile names.

Jack Huston, Christina Hendricks, Amanda Peet, John Slattery and Marthe Keller are also confirmed to be starring in the series with Weiner set to direct four of the eight episodes. Jon Hamm is also rumored to be up for a role.

The Weinstein Company is co-producing the project which will be shot all over the world and will debut on Amazon in Spring 2018.
