Holly Hunter is set to lead the cast of “Six Feet Under” and “True Blood” creator Alan Ball’s currently untitled third drama series for HBO.
Ball will pen the tragicomic project which focuses on a contemporary multi-racial family. Philosophy professor Greg Bishop and his corporate psychologist wife Audrey Black (Hunter) are socially conscious idealists who decided to build a family by adopting children from Vietnam, Somali and Colombia before having their own child in their forties.
This seemingly perfect, progressive family is in actuality harboring deep rifts. Then, one of the children begins to see things others cannot – are they mentally ill or is something else going on.
Ball most recently executive produced the Cinemax series “Banshee” which concluded its four-season run earlier this year.
