Hunt, Dreyfuss, Moyer Set For FOX’s “Shots”

Helen Hunt, Richard Dreyfuss, Sanaa Lathan and Stephen Moyer are set to star in the limited straight-to-series drama “Shots Fired” for FOX.

The story explores the aftermath of racially charged shootings in a small town in Tennessee. Lathan stars an expert investigator who digs into the cases, alongside a special prosecutor sent to the town by the Department of Justice, as media attention and social unrest sees the divided town pushed to breaking point.

Hunt will play the fictional governor of North Carolina, Moyer plays a seasoned veteran in the town’s sheriff’s department, Dreyfuss will play a real estate mogul and owner of a privatized prison who is intricately involved in the shooting.

Gina Prince-Bythewood and Reggie Rock Bythewood penned and will executive produce the series which also stars Stephan James, Aisha Hinds, Tristan Wilds. A late 2016 debut is planned.
