Hulu has given a straight-to-series eight-episode order for a TV adaptation of Celeste Ng’s novel book “Little Fires Everywhere” which will be executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington.
The story follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives. The weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood all combine.
Liz Tigelaar (“Casual”) is penning and showrunning the series in which Witherspoon and Washington will star. Tigelaar and Lauren Neustadter will also executive produce.
