Hulu is reportedly in talks with “Community” producer Sony Pictures TV for more original installments of the recently cancelled NBC comedy series.
Conversations are still very preliminary and it is unclear what kind of deal is involved, but reportedly there’s interest from both creator Dan Harmon and the parties within the streaming service to make it happen.
Sporting critical acclaim and a devoted following, demand for the show’s revival isn’t a surprise. One complication though has been the digital syndication deal the show has in place with Hulu – leaving it without much room to manuever.
Thankfully Hulu, with its six million subscribers, would appear to be a good fit for the series should it score a pickup order from them.
