The series will be set “in the Stephen King multiverse”, and “explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories.”
Castle Rock has figured prominently in novels such as “Cujo,” “The Dark Half,” “IT” and “Needful Things” along with several key novellas like “The Body” and “Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption”.
J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot will produce the work in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television and Hulu. The three companies previously worked together on the event series adaptation of King’s “11.22.63”.
