Studio 8 and The Picture Company are teaming with filmmaker Albert Hughes (“From Hell,” “The Book of Eli”) on a remake of the 2016 Goya award-winning Spanish thriller “The Fury of a Patient Man”.
Hughes will direct and Javier Gullon (“Enemy”) is penning the script for the film about a quiet man who seeks revenge on the criminals who turned his life upside down after a violent robbery. The man enlists the help of a recently released convict who was involved in the crime.
Andrew Rona, Peter Dealbert and Alex Heineman will produce and filming aims to begin in the Spring. Hughes most recently directed “Alpha,” an Ice Age-era drama slated to open in March.
