Hugh Jackman Joins A “Part-Time Indian”

Hugh Jackman has signed on to play a key supporting role in the young adult novel adaptation “The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian” at 20th Century Fox.

Based on the semi-autobiographical novel by “Smoke Signals” screenwriter Sherman Alexie, the story follows an aspiring teenage cartoonist who leaves his Native American Reservation school in Spokane to attend an all-white high school.

Alexie will pen the screenplay while Lauren Shuler Donner, Jack Leslie, Wyck Godfrey and Isaac Klausner will produce.
