Howling Dogs & “MacGregor’s Lantern” Sold

Producers Daniel Sladek and Chris Taaffe have scored the films rights to two novels – Graham Salisbury’s “Night of the Howling Dogs” and Corinne Joy Brown’s “MacGregor’s Lantern” reports Variety.

Based on a true story, ‘Dogs’ follows the struggle for survival by the members of Boy Scout Troop 77 on Hawaii’s big island. The group was camping in the wilderness in 1972 when an earthquake and a resulting tsunami struck.

‘Lantern’ is a historical-fiction romance and drama epic set around Colorado-Wyoming in the late 1800’s when European cattle barons vied for control of land.
