Ron Howard’s documentary about The Beatles has locked down its release plans. Indie distributor Abramorama is partnering with Hulu on the project which has also received its first teaser trailer which you can see below.
“The Beatles: Eight Days a Week – The Touring Years” will debut on September 17th on Hulu, just one day after it rolls out in select U.S. cinemas. Hulu scooped up exclusive U.S. streaming rights to the authorized doco in May.
The film – made with co-operation from Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, as well as the widows of John Lennon and George Harrison, Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison – recounts the first part of The Beatles’ career (1962-1966). StudioCanal has acquired the film for the U.K., France, Germany and Australia and New Zealand.
