ABC has announced that the upcoming fifteen-episode sixth season of “How to Get Away with Murder” will be the show’s last.

Viola Davis won an Emmy for playing Middleton Universe Professor and criminal defense attorney Annalise Keating in the series and has also received multiple nominations.

The sixth season will follow Keating’s class through their final semester in law school, while the deception, fear, and guilt binding Professor Keating to her students prove deadlier than ever.

The show has also been praised for its inclusivity, with storylines exploring racial dynamics, LGBTQ representation, gender inequality, and sex positivity. Billy Brown, Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, Matt McGorry, Karla Souza, Charlie Weber, Liza Weil and Conrad Ricamora co-star.

The final season will premiere on Thursday, September 26th.
