How “Justice” And “Suicide Squad” Link Up?

With David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” to be the first DC cinematic universe film to be released in the wake of Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” there’s obviously been questions about how ‘Squad’ will tie in both with ‘Dawn’ and the subsequent “Justice League” films.

There’s been numerous rumors, from Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) cameos to easter eggs tying back to Batman and Amanda Waller’s intent to use him to flush out other superheroes. A new rumor today from Latino Review suggests how one character from ‘Dawn’ ties into the film as well – Aquaman (Jason Momoa).

The site claims that Waller (Viola Davis) has a personal trophy case in the lower levels of the prison where all the super powered meta humans are kept. The case includes several key artifacts, one of which is Aquaman’s trident as seen in the poster released the other month. How she obtained it is uncertain at this point, but it also sounds more like an easter egg for fans rather than something that’s part of a plot point within the film.

Bad Ass Digest has heard its own rumor as well today, this one regarding ‘Dawn of Justice’. They claim that Batman seeking out Superman to hold him responsible for the Battle of Metropolis is NOT the setup of how the two heroes come to blows as has long been believed.

Instead, they say it’s Superman is the one who initiates the meeting between the two, going to Gotham at the bidding of Lex Luthor. Superman also gets one up on the Caped Crusader, rendering the Batmobile useless with a single punch.

Finally today, a photo has been released of that Aquaman artwork from a while back, but without the giant text polluting the image.
